There was a black mirror episode like this. In the end no matter if the victims play along, they still get their dirty laundry sent out.

This reminds me of an episode of Criminal Minds where the serial killer was a computer support guy who would come to people’s homes to troubleshoot. While there, he would install software that would allow him to access their cameras remotely. Later, he would go back in disguise and record himself entering their homes and killing them in front of their computers. Then, he would post the videos to the internet.

I don’t know. M andy Patinkin, who headlined the cast for the first two seasons bowed out with a letter of apology to his fellow cast members. He said the constant dark subject matter was too emotionally difficult for him to deal with.
They got Joe Mantegna to replace him.

I received one just like it a few months ago. It went to my work e-mail. I knew it was a ruse because a) several other people received the same message; and b) there’s tape over the camera on my laptop.

What’s also annoying are the Revenue Canada/IRS “You owe taxes” scams. One scammer almost got my sister until I talked her down.
And then I called the scammer and yelled “FUCK OFF ASSHOLE” and hung up.
